Take note of timings, water refills and route to major places en route. Target 20 minute miles throughout. Latter part of distance has steep cliff-side hills. Water and Lunch to be taken when appropriate. Not less than 4 mile intervals ETA at Lyme Regis nags head pub to be around 18:00 Sunday May 31st 61 mile bike ride. Weymouth to Swanage and back. First leg, including bridleways, sheep and cow pooh splurging, taking the longer pretty route and getting lost in the woods- 4:04 and a few secs. Fish and chips, 100 M swim in sea. Second leg, the direct route. 2:01:40. Not bad for a lay in til 12 :-)Sat and sun 5th 6th TA training at Exeter... phew! Makes the rest seem fluffy by comparison :-) Weds 9th Run around Portland with 18kg pack; 4:52.00..... only 17 miles, not many hills but a lot of rocky paths Thurs 10th Off road bike race around Portland, 1:39 ish... including getting lost, almost airborne twice and shoulder running the bike up East Weare goat path cliffs.
